We are lucky to work with so many corporate and nonprofit groups that choose Lake Geneva for their events each year, and Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is truly one of our favorite places to bring those events to life.

Grand Geneva is such a special property for corporate groups because there are so many possibilities all in one place. From multi-day conferences and retreats to intimate dinners, welcome receptions, large galas and completely themed evenings, the resort gives groups the opportunity to create a different experience for their guests throughout their stay. Their incredible event team, variety of spaces and beautiful Lake Geneva setting also give us so much to work with creatively.

That's one of the reasons these events are some of our favorites to design. No two are ever the same.

We work with everything from smaller corporate dinners and nonprofit fundraisers to large groups coming into Grand Geneva for multi-day conferences and retreats. For those larger programs, we may be designing several events over the course of a few days, with each one having its own look, theme and experience while still feeling connected to the group as a whole.

And while flowers will always be our specialty, our involvement can go much further than the floral. We can help develop the overall design direction, create design boards, recommend décor and bring in trusted vendor partners to help turn each event into a completely different experience for your guests.

Full Event Design for Corporate & Nonprofit Groups

When we say we can help design an event, that doesn't mean Lilypots personally owns every chair, linen, piece of furniture or décor item you see in the finished room.

We handle all of our floral design in-house, but we also work with some amazing local vendors who specialize in the other pieces needed to bring an event together.

Our job is to look at the event as a whole.

We can help develop the overall design direction, create design boards, recommend what we think the space needs and then help source and coordinate those additional elements through trusted vendor partners.

That could mean specialty linens, draping, lighting, lounge furniture, balloons, branded elements, specialty rentals or something completely custom.

Instead of choosing each piece separately and hoping everything works together, we're looking at what the entire room is going to feel like when your guests walk in.

From a Design Board to the Real Thing

One of my favorite parts of the process is seeing a design board we created months earlier actually come to life.

Our corporate and nonprofit clients don't always come to us knowing exactly what they want, and they don't need to.

Sometimes we're given a very specific theme, company branding or an established vision for a fundraiser. Other times, we're given a general direction, a budget and an event schedule and asked to come up with ideas. We take all of that and start building the visual direction.

Our design boards help show how we envision the florals, linens, rentals, lighting, décor and overall feeling working together before we're standing in an empty ballroom on event day.

Multi-Day Corporate Events at Grand Geneva

Taking Your Event Beyond Grand Geneva

For multi-day corporate groups, not every event has to happen at Grand Geneva.

While Grand Geneva may be home base for your conference or retreat, many groups choose to take their guests off property for one of the evenings and experience another part of Lake Geneva. We can help carry the design into those events as well.

Maybe that means an evening tour at Yerkes Observatory, a dinner at the historic Maxwell Mansion, enjoy a picnic by Lake Geneva Picnic Co down by the lake, an event aboard a Lake Geneva Cruise Line boat or a completely different venue for the night. We can create a new design specifically for that experience while still making it feel like part of the overall corporate program.

Our team can handle the floral design for the off-site event and help recommend, source and coordinate the additional décor and local vendor partners needed to bring the design together.

For groups coming into Lake Geneva from out of town, this is one of the advantages of working with a local team. We know the area, the venues and the vendors, and can help create an experience that goes beyond the conference room or ballroom and gives your guests a chance to really experience Lake Geneva.

Nonprofit Galas, Fundraisers & Donor Events

We also love working with nonprofit organizations on galas, fundraisers, donor events and annual celebrations at Grand Geneva and throughout Lake Geneva.

These events often have a completely different set of priorities.

We understand that a nonprofit event needs to feel special and memorable while still being thoughtful about where the organization's budget is being spent. Our goal isn't to fill the room with décor simply because we can.

We look for the places where design is going to make the biggest impact.

That might mean creating a statement entrance or focal point, investing more heavily in the stage area, developing a memorable theme, incorporating sponsor or organization branding, or designing centerpieces that completely change the feeling of the ballroom.

We can also work alongside event committees, boards, planners and venue teams to help take a theme or initial idea and turn it into an overall design direction.
